| A special and the highlight of any arts and crafts pottery collection. Beautifully executed by Henrietta Bailey one of the most sought after and early members of Newcomb pottery designers. This pot by her is date coded 1914 and has a buff clay body with a semi-matte glaze. The bowl is in 4 colors and is carved flawlessly with Jonquils and stems around the entire bowl in varying depths. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. A special piece for the arts and crafts pottery collector. As a bowl measuring 6 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high it is not as large in relation to Newcomb vases. However, instead it is carved with a great amount of time spent in finely detailing the piece that would be difficult if not impossible to perform on a large piece. A great piece of pottery with no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. | |
