| Turn Teplitz banquet oil lamp with its original B&H burner. Turn Teplitz base has raised floral decoration of Carnations with fine gold gilt highlights. The lamp is topped by an equally rare compressed ball glass shade, frosted on the top third and cut below with a spray of flowers and trailing vines. Lamp is in great working order and dates to the late 1800's. Found at a prestigious Hudson Valley, NY estate, the lamp measures 23 inches high and 8 1/2 inches wide. Lamp is complete and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to the entire set. The burner is brass with a great patina, circular wick and B&H flame spreader. A superior and decorative oil lamp for the discriminating high Victorian collector. It is rare for one of these lamps to come to market and complete and undamaged after more than a century is simply amazing. | |
