| This an original signed limited edition woodcut by Gustave Baumann titled Eagle Ceremony at Tesuque Pueblo 1932 produced for the Colophon. Baumann is renowned for his Southwest American images. Framed woodcut is 18 x 18 inches with an image area of 6.5 x 6.5 inches. Printed in shades of black, grays and brown with Baumann's initials and the "Hand in Heart" watermark. The frame is an original period quarter sawn oak wide board frame with corner details in a superb matte brown-red finish that shows great fire in the oak flaking. Woodcut is in perfect condition, very clean. Printed in an edition of 3000, this image is now quite scarce and is an exquisite example of Baumann's work. | |
