| Probably the most sought after Pittsburgh lamp for collectors is the "9 Lakes of Killarney" reverse painted lamp. Painted in reverse and obverse to add depth and fine detail as a true representation of the beautiful lakes of Killarney, Ireland. Measures 23 inches high and 16 inches wide, high dome making this a generous table lamp of refined beauty. A true masterpiece of design and workmanship and rare in this pristine condition of both a rarely seen base and shade. Shade is ice finished on the exterior with all original fittings other than new wiring, a replaced socket, and original pulls. This base and shade match exactly to the lamp pictured in the book Better Electric Lamps of the 20's and 30's, page 80. No repairs, alterations, chips, cracks or missing paint. | |
