A Goryeo dynasty Korean bronze bottle with good green patina, 13th century. It measures 33cm high X about 17cm diameter, or 13 inches X 6 3/4 inches. It is unbroken, but has two small old lead repairs visible in the images. There are two shallow dents in the body, one below a light scrape mark extending down from the neck base. A closely related example is illustrated in plate 1 of "Metal Works & Ceramics of Koryo Dynasty Korea", Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, 1991...

The lid on this cricket gourd has been carved in openwork with bamboo leaves and plum blossoms. It is made of coconut shell, set into a rosewood collar. The ensemble dates to about 1900 and is undamaged other than abrasions and nibble marks on the interior. Measurements are 10.5cm long X 6.2cm diameter

A highly unusual yixing censer modeled as a giant peach with two boys on its lid, c. 1925. It is enameled with eight bats, peach and peony blossoms and cash, supported on three peach shaped small feet. It measure 16.5cm high X 20.3cm long X 20cm wide, or about 6 1/2" X 8" X 8". The censer is unmarked. There is a tiny chip to the top of the peach branch and accumulated incense ash and dirt.

A rare Japanese Hirado censer decorated in underglaze blue seven groups of reed sin water on its balloon-form upper section. The staining and cracking to the round base's upper section indicates it actually was used to burn incense. Dating is difficult due to its unusual shape, but mid-19th century is probably a correct age. Measurements are 15.8cm high X 14cm diameter, or 6 1/8" X 5 1/2".

This well carved nephrite jade pebble has a low relief boy holding a double lotus stem. The stem curves back over his shoulder and arm to end in a large lotus leaf, bud and a seedpod on his back. The stone is of grayish-white translucent tone, with the seedpod having an area of opaque white. It dates to the 19th century. Measurements are 2cm thick X 6cm X 5.5cm.

This rare Iranian ceramic beehive cover is decorated in underglaze turquoise-blue, brown and purple with a bird on a flowering branch, set within an arching device and over an inscription. The date appears to be 1885 CE. It measured 22.4cm diameter or 8.75 inches. There are no damages, but there are three small firing spurs on the cover's face. A cover is illustrated and described in the Freer-Sackler Museum's website.

Attractively decorated with women in gardens and a phoenix and peacock, this Canton enamel vase is not marked but dates to the 19th century. It measures 9.3cm high X 5cm X 3.3cm, or 3.75 inches X 2 inches X 1.25 inches. There is very slight wear to the enamel and a small crack, visible in one image.

This Imari charger measures 58.2cm diameter, or 22.75 inches. It dates to the Meiji period, about 1880. Its complex decoration includes eagles on pines and a central maple growing from behind a draped cloth screen or fence. The base has small firing spur marks to support it during firing. It probably was made for export to Europe or the United States. There is very minor wear to the enamels but no chips or cracks. Due to its large size, shipping will be charged to the buyer.

Based on a chrysanthemum flower pattern, this Yixing teapot bears blue, white and pink enamel designs of fur gods, clouds and floral sprays along with a brief inscription. It dates to the late 19th century and measures 14.5cm high X 21cm wide, or 5.5 inches X 8.3 inches. It has not been cleaned on the exterior, so extensive areas of dark material remain. The knob on the lid's top probably was made separately. There is a chip to the lid's rim and enamel wear overall.

A pair of satin stitch and couched metal thread embroidered rank badges, apparently never mounted on a robe, circa 1880. Each depicts a tiger-cat on a rock over waves, with shrimp, fish, emblems, bats and endless knots. According to John Vollmer this animal signifies and sixth and seventh military rank in the Ch'ing government system. They measure 28cm high X 55cm long, or 11" X 21.5"...

These pottery cups designs were based on bronze or lacquer models now termed ear cups. To achieve the green effect they were molded and then lead glazed. They date to the Han dynasty, approximately 100 B.C. to 100 A.D. Measurements are 4.5cm high X 12.7cm wide X 10.9cm deep. Each has white calcium adhesions and slight amounts of iridescence, all from burial. There are small areas of glaze gapping but no cracks or chips...

A 20.3cm (8") Japanese Seto stoneware plate decorated in iron-brown with horse eye spirals around the cavetto. The rim has a thick wash of iron-brown dripping in places onto the interior. A pair of Chinese porcelain globular jars, each decorated with 100 boys at play in famille-rose enamels, c.1880. Each measures 20.5 cm high X 21 cm diameter or 8" X 8 1/4" and has a Kangxi mark on its base. Each has a fitted wood stand and a matching lid. One lid has repaired breaks and both stands have reglued areas.
