| This striking Korean folk painting represents one of the Confucian virtues, with a character, rabbit pounding the elixir of immortality in the moon, a pagoda, pine, two cranes and fungus. It is painted in ink and bright colors on paper and is now framed. It dates to the early 20th century, and was once part of a screen that was dismantled when its owner moved from Korea. Measurements are 34 1/2 inches X 11 1/4 inches (88cm X 28.5cm), or 42" X 16" (107cm X 40.8cm) with frame. It and others in this set have various stains and a few areas of foxing. | ||
