| A Korean stoneware maebyong decorated in underglaze iron-black, circa 1200. It has two large chrysanthemum or peony sprays on the sides and a band of petals around the short neck, all under an olive toned glaze. Measurements are 10 1/4 inches or 26cm high X 6 inches or 15cm diameter. There is a repaired break at the rim, visible in the images and small areas of glaze loss at the footrim. The blue-green material on the footrim is old florist's clay, from the previous owner who was concerned about earthquake losses. | ||
