| A beautifully executed model of Kannon by Miyagawa Kozan (1842-1916), also known as Makuzu Kozan. Here the studio closely followed Bizen stoneware sculpture of the late Edo and Meiji periods. The figure is 13.5 inches or 34.5cm high and is marked Kozan on the back. It has a chipped finger. It is part of the studio's production meant for the domestic Japanese market rather than for export. | ||
