| A fine quality mid seventeenth century cloisonne incense burner, circa 1650. The tripod vessel has two ropetwist handles rising from its flat rim, a blue ground with lotus scroll band and a Jingtai (Ching-T'ai) mark on its base. It has a small filled hole in the reign mark, a small 1cm loss to the enamel on one side and some very small surface chips. Measurements are 17.5cm high or 7n inches X 16cm wide or 6 1/4 inches. It may have been waxed at one time, as the surface is somewhat dirty. The well carved lid is 19th century, the finial is carnelian and has been reglued to the top. | ||
