A set of four Chinese famille rose decorated plaques in the motif of eight immortals, each with a poem and signed by the artisan. The decoration of figures is of very high quality. Size: each plaque is 58cm by 18cm. Condition: each has some wears and dirts, but overall very good condition. Date: 20th century. I've include a lot of pictures, and will divide the pictures in four listings.

A good Chinese Qing Dynasty jade buckle. The jade is of even, whitish celadon color. The length is 10cm. Condition: the right eye of the dragon has a chip; no other problems.

This is an antique porcelain plaque superbly decorated with a scene of a scholar and attendant carrying prunus branch with an illustration of a poem. Signed by Wan Yunyan. A rare genuine piece of Wan Yunyan. Size: 19.6cm height by 12.8cm width. Condition: Around the lower right corner, a triangular area about 2.9cm by 1.5cm was reattached. The repair was not nicely done, and it could use a rework. Other than that it has no problem.

Every minute thing is done to perfection, reaching the apex of the bronze censer making, including the smooth interior, the finishing of the interior of base, etc. Dual seals. A nice Chinese Ming dynasty bronze vase with chilong around body. It is well made, very heavy, and has great patina. Size: height 16.5cm. Condition: very good, except that there is one dent under the belly (see second picture).

A large Chinese bronze censer, chiselled/engraved with figures, flowers, or dragons at all sides. It was made in the Republic period, early part of 20th century. Size and condition: the diameter of mouth opening 17.1cm; height 10.1cm; from handle to handle 23cm; weight around 2300grams. The condition: it was polished in the past; no other problem.

An interesting Chinese taste fan with painting on one side, calligraphy on the other side, and with carved bamboo sticks at both ends. The hand painted Bamboo scene is full of Chan/Zen spirit, dated 1886 or 1946. The outer bamboo sticks have a lovely smooth patina and are very finely carved and signed. Another interesting thing about the fan is that the motifs of the carved sticks match the gists of the painting and calligraphy. A Chinese flower-shape bronze censer with thick brown/blackish patina. It has a 4-character seal. Different people have different interpretation of this type of seal. My personal take is that this type of seal is a Republic fantasy seal. The censer weighs 1595 grams and its mouth opening is 11cm diameter. The condition is good, with dirt on the surface. It is hard to date it. My guess is that it is Republic, given that the patina shows age and the foot shows wear. Please use your own judgment. ...click for details
