| Spectacular artist signed pietra dura side table with pastoral scene by Mario Montelatici, 1894-1974. The pietra dura top itself measures approximately 22 1/4" x 12 1/4". The table measures approximately 19 1/2" tall. It is 13 1/2" wide and 23 3/4" deep. Artist's signature lower right, M Montelatici. The scene depicts a young girl with four sheep on a hilltop. She is sprinkling feed for them. The pietra dura or hard stone table top has very vibrant colors. See photos. Mario Montelatici was a gifted Italian artist who worked in Florence Italy. I am not sure if the wood is mahogany but it is in pretty good condition. It has a couple of small nicks but overall in good condition. There is some writing scratched into the back of the pietra dura but I cannot read it since the wood is covering most of it. There also is a line in the back of the stone that does not go through to the front. See photos. It was probably in the process of making this beautiful piece.
