| Gorgeous rococo revival coin silver butter dish with beautifully sculptured cow finial by Grosjean & Woodward made for Tiffany & Co. c.1850s. Approximately 5" high and 5 1/2" in diameter. 16 troy ounces including the reticulated insert. 4 feet. No monogram. Marks include TIFFANY & CO, the bullet mark for coin silver and G & W. (Grosjean & Woodward). Tiffany, in the early years, before they manufactured their own silver, purchased their silverware from a variety of the major silver manufacturers of the day, among them Grosjean & Woodward.
