| Early handpainted watercolor portrait of a gentleman. Approximately 3 5/8" x 2 7/8". The gentleman is handpainted. Then he was applied to a woven fabric and then it was applied to wood. The wood piece itself measures 3 5/8" x 2 7/8". It looks as if this piece was applied to something else in the past as you can see from the photos. Unframed. This is a very well executed profile portrait of an early gentleman. I believe it to be early Americana but I will leave that to the experts. Very good condition. | |||||||||||
