Henry Hebbard Coin Silver Grecian Pattern Spoons
Wonderful set of six teaspoons in the popular Grecian pattern made by Henry Hebbard. This pattern was made for Tiffany & Co of New York, J W Cusack & Co. and various other makers. Approximately 6" long and in great condition. Monogrammed with MST. They have a sweet little rams head at the top there is also a vine of ivy going through a mask in a small cartouche part way down the handle. The back of the bowl is also decorates with the ivy. Marks include the HH for Henry Hebbard, Patent 1852, B, and J.W. Cusack & Co. The firm of Henry Hebbard & Co are listed in the New York City Directories beginning in 1847 as solid silver manufacturers. John Polhamus joined the firm at some point prior to 1852.Between 1852 and 1858, he and Hebbard obtained a number of design patents for flatware together. These patents were later used by Shiebler & Co. Very good condition.
