| Wonderful large oriental cloisonne vase on brass with goldstone. Decorated with six shields of alternating red and green panels. Approximately 29" tall and 12 1/2" in diameter at the widest point. Also measuring 37" in circumference. Unsigned. As you can see by the photos, each shield is decorated with the same bird but different colors are used. I believe it is Japanese but I am not an expert in cloisonne. You be the judge. The same border is used around the top and bottom. On the neck is a red band with pink daisylike flowers, buds and leaves. The shoulder has six cartouches with winged creatures. The main background is dark blue. Approximately 7 different colors are used. Picture #7 is not damage. It is the light reflection. In my opinion, this vase is in very good condition. There are a couple of small dings (a little larger than a pen point) and 2 light scratches. See photos. They don't detract at all from the beauty of this piece.
