| A very interesting and rare ladle or spoon made from a small coconut with a horn handle and mounted with silver. The handle is carved with a small animal and foliage and is terminated by a silver mount worked with a flower in a cartouche surround. At the other end of the carved horn the handle is continued by silver terminating in a dragon's head which grasps the coconut bowl. Probably late 18th. century, it is 8 ins.(20 cms.) in length and the coconut has a diameter of 2 1/2 ins.(6 1/2 cms.) | ||||||||||||
