We have not entirely identified this antique majolica item, but it is either a desk organizer or cigarette holder. Clearly there are 3 receptacles for holding items such as pens, toothpicks, matches, cigarettes or other items not easily store otherwise. Whatever its original use, it is completely divine in its construction with separately molded containers such as the woven basket, the applied handle, and the applied anchor...

An exceptional Weller Pottery table lamp with an usual base of forest ground with carved foliate stems with blue and yellow flowers. The body is surmounted by a black metal shaft holding 2 sockets. The lamp does not have a shade, and its original cord should be replaced. Condition of the pottery is quite good, while the shaft has some paint loss. The lamp sits on a carved wood Chinese style base...

A super fantastic singing bowl hand crafted in Sweden c. 1900 with copper and silver. The exterior shell is hand hammered copper which has retained a bright coppery red finish which is a superb juxtaposition to the silver lined bowl. The visual impact is exceptional but the sound it makes is just as lovely. On the conical base, the craftsman punched a simple wavy design. This singing bowl is true gem but the bowl has a blackened band due to silver loss...

A nicely stitched sampler by Mary Thomas, no date, with the inscription Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. The edge is embroidered with leaves and flowers, with a floral garland under the verse. The prominent budding vase is in the center with fruit baskets and boats on either side. The boats are very interesting perhaps an indication that Mary travelled, lived near the ocean, or had sailor relatives...

A very rare cast iron fireplace tool set with caddy includes tongs, poker, and shovel. The caddy in enameled in black over a white primer, a clue to help dating of the set. The caddy is formed of rectilinear lines with a bird with large plumes in the center. Each of the tools has a ring for either grabbing or hanging. Tool handles have twisted shafts with simple decoration on the squared portions. The tools appear to be hand forged...

An Indian bronze Ganesh holding attributes and consort, mounted on ovoid tableau all raised on rectangular plinth. The brass gilding accents the base as well as the high points of the figure. While in generally excellent condition for its age, there is cupric oxidation on the left eye piece and a couple of patina losses as noted in the photo. The patina is dark chocolate brown which makes the brass accents all the more impressive...

An especially attractive flint glass - possibly crystal - mold pressed goblet in the block and star pattern with ruby flashed top. Over condition is very good although you can see some mild loss to the ruby. The glass probably dates to the last quarter of the 19th C. The goblet still retains the identification tag of the collector who was a socially prominent matron of a family who settled in north Georgia, and who died in 1939...

The bases on these candlesticks are a bit unusual with their slightly tiered oblong form. They are of multipart construction, one still retaining its pushrod. We might say these are in wonderful antique condition meaning that they have flaws. As noted, one is missing its ejector, the bases of both are warped, the lips of the nozzles are also warped, one stick has a faint dimple, and there are minor surface blemishes on each candlestick...
