This porcelain masterpiece was produced by the famous British firm commonly known as Royal Crown Derby a name owing to the trademark featuring the royal crown patented to the firm by George III. The designers spared no expense in the production of this lavish rarity which stands stout on 4 paw feet reminiscent of the Chippendale style. The bowl is carefully and brilliantly painted with roses, vines, and fern leaves in gold...

These exceptional vases decorated in the Chinese style were produced by the firm inherited by Charles Mason who secured rights to the famous Mason's Patented Ironstone in 1813. The pottery made porcelain as well, but I believe that these vases are of ironstone...

A mulberry transfer English Staffordshire plate in the Athens pattern by William Adams & Sons made c. 1850. The inking is crisp and sharp, even on the backside as evidenced by the clear registry mark. The shape has 14 edges. Adams was one of the longest lived potters in England, operating as late as the 1990s.

Although Adderley is often credited by sellers as the maker of all Blue Chelsea series of table wares, the truth is that it was produced by many makers. This coffee pot is unmarked but clearly a fine Staffordshire example.

Our coffee pot sits on a hexagonal foot whose shaping continues in the body of the pot. It is sparsely decorated in the much beloved Blue Chelsea Sprig motif on a cream body...

This fine Staffordshire copper luster pitcher is decorated with a blue band of enamel, creating a very clean, simple design, accented with beading around the border and rim of the pitcher. The fancy serpentine and strap handles give it grace. The warmth of the copper makes it an attractive accessory to a bookshelf or cabinet.

This Victorian copper luster pitcher practically dances with joy for the colorful flowers strung around the blue band of its bulbous form. Beading borders the blue and rim of the pitcher. Equally exciting is the mythical figure on the beaker spout. Condition is excellent and still retains luminous shine even after 170 years of life.

A rare and lovely English porcelain compote with a canary yellow ground on the bowl and pedestal, the center of the bowl hand painted with a bouquet of flowers. Edges are and handle accents are enameled in aubergine. Underside is hand painted 3. Overall condition is excellent, with some soiling below average for age which we attribute to c. 1820-30. An exceptional and elegant tea set consisting of a teapot, sugar, and creamer, hand painted with grey ground, and colorful floral sprays. Generous scrolling and foliate gilding complete the treatment. The condition of this ensemble is well above average for its age which we assign to the 2d quarter of the 19th century - c. 1830-40, suffering occasional soling. The pieces are unmarked other than with a hand painted pattern number...

This glorious flow mulberry coffee pot is a treat on several counts, not the least of which is the fine ironstone construction and design of the pot with the Peruvian pattern by J Wedge Wood - not be confused with Josiah. The body flairs outward, cutting an impressive figure. Although there is regular crazing throughout, the condition of the pot is excellent. The underside is backstamped as noted, and also has a British Registry mark for the year 1875...

A wonderful hexagonal shaped ironstone flow mulberry covered dish with handles, often times called a vegetable dish, in the Jeddo pattern by William Adams and Sons, c. 1850. The dish and lid are structurally sound but there are a few condition defects to note. On the underside of the lid, there are 2 very shallow chips. On the underside of the foot, there are also 2 chips - 1 very small and the other about 1/4". We show pictures of all defects...

Majolica wares were all about representing nature, and this gurgle fish pitcher is no exception. These fish pitchers came in a number of variations, most of which dealt with color schemes and minor design differences. This pitcher, we believe, represents the cream of the crop in a number of respects, the first of which is the gorgeou color, the primary one being the rich nearly forest green glaze which scales to mint green. The belly is white while the tale and bib are brown...

These fine porcelain ewers are made in a neoclassical style with a slightly flaring base supporting a bulbous body whose neck narrows before ending in an elongated spout. Tall dramatic handles are attached to the vase. Rich cobalt blue panels alternate with white ground spaces each having simple floral embellishments surrounded by gilded swirls and scrolls. This exceptional teapot is from the Staffordshire region of England from the very early 19th century, reasonably dated c. 1800 and attributed to the New Hall factory. It is a porcelain production imitating the very popular Chinese wares coming into the European market, and attempting to convince consumers that it was of the same quality. These pieces often depict domestic scenes but are frequently scenes from theater or novels...

Please note that the right vase does NOT tilt. It is my old mahogany leaf table with gate legs which is the culprit.

An exceptionally attractive transferware bowl in the Milanese Pavilion pattern having fruit and floral images around the rim while two elegantly attired ladies converse on the pavilion. The back stamp bears the J H & Co mark of Joshua Heath & Co and dates to c. 1840 While the bowl is visually magnificent, it has a 2 3/4" hairline crack for which we have drastically reduced the price and for which we would consider reasonable offers. A very hard to find purple transferware jar with lid featuring a vignette of a child with mother among classical ruins. The attached handles are decorated and scroll outward; the rim is decorated with fancy borders as is the foot. Underside is impressed with P.
