Although Adderley is often credited by sellers as the maker of all Blue Chelsea series of table wares, the truth is that it was produced by many makers. This coffee pot is unmarked but clearly a fine Staffordshire example.

Our coffee pot sits on a hexagonal foot whose shaping continues in the body of the pot. It is sparsely decorated in the much beloved Blue Chelsea Sprig motif on a cream body...

A mulberry transfer English Staffordshire plate in the Athens pattern by William Adams & Sons made c. 1850. The inking is crisp and sharp, even on the backside as evidenced by the clear registry mark. The shape has 14 edges. Adams was one of the longest lived potters in England, operating as late as the 1990s.

A marvelous pair of Dresden or Old Paris porcelain candlesticks with carefully painted cherubs holding to each nozzle while upholding while perched on stumps. The winged characters are draped with modesty scarves which swirl around the sticks. The quatrefoil bases are embellished with gold and encrusted with pink flowers.

The slightly brassy gilding cause me to date these beautiful candlesticks as early as 1880 since they are unmarked, to as late as 1910...

These Old Paris vases are a visual treat, brimming with optimism and the charms of 19th century simplicities.

The pink ground of the body is sharply contrasted with the classic black foot with gold banding. Each vase has a complementary hand painted reserve of courting lovebirds framed in rich gilding...

The Jacob Petit factory at Fontainebleau produced these porcelain cornucopia vases Century 1840. The lavish cornucopias are mounted on rectangular bases decorated with rocaille and gilded swags and vines; the corners are finished with swans. The horn is molded, painted with flowers in reserve on each side. The rim is a rococo staple of undulating flourishes, decorated in gold in the upper interior. A fantastic set of hand painted fish plates, each plate having its own distinctive scene, made in Limoges, France. The plates date circa 1900. Each plate is gold enameled at the rim. This neo-classically inspired porcelain pitcher is magnificent in its grace and, dare I say, grandeur. It expands as it rises from its gilded circular foot then recedes to give rise to a towering helmet style beaker. This Victorian copper luster pitcher practically dances with joy for the colorful flowers strung around the blue band of its bulbous form. Beading borders the blue and rim of the pitcher. Equally exciting is the mythical figure on the beaker spout. Condition is excellent and still retains luminous shine even after 170 years of life.

This fine Staffordshire copper luster pitcher is decorated with a blue band of enamel, creating a very clean, simple design, accented with beading around the border and rim of the pitcher. A hard to find purple transferware pitcher with central vignettes of farm life and genre scenes. The top and inside of pitcher have foliate decoration. The single piece handle is attached. An exceptionally attractive transferware bowl in the Milanese Pavilion pattern having fruit and floral images around the rim while two elegantly attired ladies converse on the pavilion. The back stamp bears the J H & Co mark of Joshua Heath & Co and dates to c. 1840 While the bowl is visually magnificent, it has a 2 3/4" hairline crack for which we have drastically reduced the price and for which we would consider reasonable offers. A fine matched pair of ceramic recumbent lions of molded construction having maize yellow ware enamel. These fine porcelain ewers are made in a neoclassical style with a slightly flaring base supporting a bulbous body whose neck narrows before ending in an elongated spout.
