Enameled with a naturalistic and soothingly harmonious blend of flowers and leaves against an ecru ground, this Victorian "fireglow" vase is delightfully charming with its baluster form. The rim, neck, and foot are enameled in dark brown to unify the composition. Touches of gold accentuate the delicately painted flowers. The underside is initialed PK. A hand blown glass decanter with ribbing around the base and cut slice around the shoulder with applied rings on the neck. The mouth has everted lips, and a hollow slice cut stopper and cut star burst. The glass is generally clear with a few minor bubbles. The decanter dates to the early 19th C. in the late Georgian style. The stopper is most likely a replacement but is stylistically consistent with the bottle, especially with its hollow form...
