A super fantastic singing bowl hand crafted in Sweden c. 1900 with copper and silver. The exterior shell is hand hammered copper which has retained a bright coppery red finish which is a superb juxtaposition to the silver lined bowl. The visual impact is exceptional but the sound it makes is just as lovely. On the conical base, the craftsman punched a simple wavy design. This singing bowl is true gem but the bowl has a blackened band due to silver loss...

A nicely detailed pierced Rococo Revival boat with exceptionally detailed swags, flowers, and cross hatching for a formal setting. The shape mimics a boat and may have once had a liner. Condition is very good with no material defects. Underside is marked Depose 800, which in normal circumstances might be French, but we believe that the crown and possibly crescent to its left indicates a German article, dating c. 1890-1910...

Louis Auguste Moreau, along with his brother Hippolyte, produced bronzes, the former of whom established a reputation for fine neo-classical figural work, of which these two vases are an example. The brothers produced spelter copies of their bronzes for broader sales, as is the case with our pair. They feature mythological characters - possibly Eros and Venus - ledged upon the bulbous portion of the vase...

A bronze sculpture of Salvation Army founder William Booth (1829-1912) standing erect in his general's regalia with a Bible in one hand and spectacles in the other. He is depicted as he appeared in his later years. We cautiously attribute this bronze to George Edward Wade who created the bigger than life size sculpture of him outside William Booth Memorial Training College, London. Wade was also famous for his commissions of royalty and political figures...

The beauty and vivid rendering of this basket of flowers belies its construction from solid cast iron and its use as a doorstop. The back is stamped 818 and is well documented as a Hubley piece dating from the early 20th century. The condition is generally very fine but paint has worn moderately on some of the high points, particularly on the basket. Height: 9 1/2"
