The bases on these candlesticks are a bit unusual with their slightly tiered oblong form. They are of multipart construction, one still retaining its pushrod. We might say these are in wonderful antique condition meaning that they have flaws. As noted, one is missing its ejector, the bases of both are warped, the lips of the nozzles are also warped, one stick has a faint dimple, and there are minor surface blemishes on each candlestick...

These English brass candlesticks have a tapering form and are constructed in multiple parts. They have pushrods and date to the first half of the 19th C. In generally very good condition although one of the pushrods is missing its button. Please note that the photo erroneously shows the candlesticks standing at angles due to lens distortions. An exeptional rosewood tea caddy with heavy cast brass handles and brass cast feet in casket form with shaped lid and lock. The edges are possibly yew wood. A fancy ornate brass oval frame having trefoil cartouches with leaves and edged with beading encircle the mirror held up by easel stand whose stretcher is detached from the frame. However the stand is still most functional. The frame is a very elegant reminder of a lost craft. Please note that we have painted out the glass mirror - not to hide anything other than the photographer. Dimension: 18" h

Sophisticated elegance oozes from every pore of this gilt brass mirror framed with rococo and neoclassical motifs. The highlight is the extraordinary and highly detailed visage in high relief at the top center of the mirror. The glass is beveled with an arched top. A ring is attached at the top rear for wall mounting. Condition is superb with the exception of a minor amount of silver loss on the left edge. We have photo edited the glass portion of the image to remove distracting reflections...

$950.00
A fine Georgian mahogany rectangular tea caddy with bail handle and diamond shaped lock escutcheon. The interior is fitted with 2 compartments for holding tea, and a center receptacle for the cut glass mixing bowl which we deem to be of the period. Gold accents which we do not believe are inlays decorate the edges of the ivory knop lids. Condition is very good meaning that the wood has occasional blemishes, and the interior lining appears to be later than original, though still old...

A nice pair of English brass candlesticks using the beehive and diamond cut motif so popular on mid 19th C candlesticks. They retain their ejectors although one is missing a button. There is also a small dent on one of the sticks at nozzle. This same candlestick has minute amount of give. Even so, these wonderful golden candlesticks are a lovely decorative touch with large size. $1,250.00
A fine pair of Rococo style antique brass mirrors with elaborate openwork foliate frame surrounding an inner frame with c-scroll and bar motif. The inner frame exposes 9 /14" x 7 1/4". A gate leg stand props the frames. The frames are unmarked but we surmise that they are 2d quarter 19th C. French productions. Many similar frames are available in iron, but these cast brass frames are a prize. Although finding one is a treat, a pair is a special one...
