This wonderful pair of porcelain Chinese prunus jars combines the famous cracked ice motif with "snowing" prunus blossoms which surround 2 reserves featuring perched birds in trees. Each tree is flanked with bats, an auspicious Chinese emblem.

The inspiration for this high quality design goes back to the Kangxi period, but these vases are Republic period of very fine quality...

These compact matching diminutive Chinese porcelain covered jars pack a lot of color power, decorated as they are in the Famille Jaune palette depicting warriors in combat, one mounted on horse with spear, the others with swords and shields. The flaring base is decorated with multicolored diaper, the shoulder with flowers on a hatched design. The cover is mounted with a small foo dog. The sensuous baluster form and sinuous lines are quite pleasing, and the small form adds even more appeal...

A fine Chinese Rose Medallion ladle with a mother and her child seated together. The handle is subtly gilded with the standard famille rose palette. This example dates to c. 1820 and is in excellent condition. These small but wonderful items are hard to find, and such a treat when discovered. Dimension: 5" l

A very warm and appealing Chinese porcelain blue and white jar with swirling leaf and vine decoration similar to those produced during the Kangxi reign. This example dates to about 1880, late in the Qing dynasty.

The cobalt is fine quality and the design will bring pleasant moments of contemplation.

The foot has old felt pads, and a somewhat ill-fitting lid (not shown)...

We present a fine Chinese Export porcelain armorial platter with unknown insignia but it is wonderfully enameled with royal blue and gold around both the rim and the top of the cavetto. The center of the plate features the owner initials amidst and draped beribboned shield. The orange peel finish exudes warmth of a distant past. This 18th century gem is in excellent condition. 15" l

With neo-classicism a dominating influence in decorative arts at the end of the 18th century, it is most natural that dinner service wares would follow suit with clean simple lines and decorations as we see in this Chinese export porcelain pitcher.

Its chief decorative elements are subtle molded shapes and contours in the helmet form and the spare blue and white enameling of its body...

Chinese export porcelain mug, with handle, on foot rim, painted in the famille rose palette. In excellent condition with discoloration especially around handle, indicative of an old repair. One central reserve with 2 men, otherwise surrounded by blue and white flowers and polychrome bouquet; rimmed with blue on white panels. Underside tagged with identification from at least 40 years ago. Dates to middle of 18th C. Very fine specimen. Height: 5"

Chinese export armorial platter with deep well, having a central coat of arms consisting of globe / shield, mythical bird, and effulgent plumes, adorned with floral spray below, and above with the banner inscription Patientia Vincit.
