A finely carved Chinese jade recumbent pig in a nearly uniform spinach green color with a particularly expressive face indicating most likely a 20th C. origin. The details in the mouth, tongue, teeth, hooves, and ears are very fine. Mass is 365.6 grams, 3 3/4" l, specific gravity 2.90-2.93, and impervious to steel blades, indicative of nephrite jade. Please forgive the lighting glare which is the white spots on the jade. We would be happy to take additional photos.

A large yellow flowering tree dominates this blue ground cloisonné vase, and is accompanied by a pink flowering neighbor tree. The counterpoised side displays a simple dogwood like tree. The vase is quite hefty in weight - a sign - in our opinion - of quality cloisonné. Condition is very good with occasional slight blemishes Dimension: 10 1/4" h

The vibrant famille verte color palette makes this covered rice pot a very happy and lively decorative accent. The dominant motif is the butterfly with an abundance of foliate and scroll work. The underside has a hand written stamp, dating it to about the late 1950s, although it could be as late as the early 1970s. Condition is excellent except for the loss of some glazing on the interior of the jar. Dimension: 8 1/2"
