Famille Rose Jar with Lid

It has two reserves depicting either domestic vignettes or scenes from Chinese drama. The other distinction of this lidded jar is its gilt ground and effulgence of floral and precious things. The top of the vase is bibbed with alternating roses and shaped panels of floral sprays.The painting is very carefully executed, representing an unusually high amount of time and artistic creativity to balance the myriad elements in such meticulous harmony. The enameling is raised, giving a rich and embossed feel. Over all, the workmanship is of a very high order of quality.
The underside has a Macao mark, placing it mid 20th century.
