This sumptuously produced plate features a young woman playing a harp, attired in fine clothing with a cherubic expression. The central reserve is bordered in the cavetto with gold around which circumscribes a cobalt blue band on the rim showing garlands and wreaths. The edge of the plate is richly gilded with beaded gold. The painting is expertly executed by an unknown but highly skilled artist. Condition is superb with the barest of gilding loss as noted in our photo. The back stamp for Ernst Wahliss Turn Austria dates to about 1910. Additional fabrication marks were added as well.
