A carved sandstone incense burner formed as a water buffalo of Chinese origin, late 19th C. to early 20th C. There are 2 holes at the top of the burner, and one at the rear. Condition is good, with one small chip in the back and a very small chip on the right ear. The symbol resembling a swastika is actually a joss, a Chinese good luck symbol. This sculpture is an impressive display piece.
