Boy Cutting Apple with Dog (Watercolor)
A genre scene in watercolor on paper depicting a boy or young man cutting an apple with his dog while resting under a tree. The condition is very good to excellent with only one very small pin head size loss of paint. The colors are vibrant, possibly with its original frame. This painting dates circa 1810 and is a rare treasure of early Americana, having a Currier and Ives innocence. The painting is unsigned as would be expected for work of this period and style.
