| Rare and Unique Dutch Oude-Loosdrecht Porcelain Tea Bowl and Saucer, c. 1780. Colonial decoration of the Cape of Good Hope of scenes of life and customs in miniature paintings in a gold cartouche. Cup has slave trader with bodyguard inspecting a group of women for sale. Saucer has natives waiting arrival of a ship and a close up of two boats with blacks and whites. Excellent condition. Sprigs of flowers, green border with twisted pink ribbon and gilt garlands. Marked underglaze blue M.O.L with a star. Probably made by special commission. | ||||||||
