Early Creil Architectural Plate - Paris Scene
Lovely early Montereau french transferware plate depicting the Eglise de la Sorbonne in Paris, now part of the University of Paris, and the home of the tomb of Cardinal Richelieu. This plate measures 9 which is larger than the Creil and Montereau plates you normally see. It is in perfect condition, with a flat rimless bottom and the impressed Montereau mark, circa 1830.
