| French Late 17th to Early 18th century Width 16.5 cm Height 14.5 cm. Goat skin was used to make this man's purse.Dyed red then tool stamped and finally gold leaf stamped. The clasp and chains are steel. It is a two pleat accordion design. Inside the purse is a small side pocket with flap. The amazing thing about this morocco leather is its pristine condition. Most often tooled leather from this period has deteriorated, but this purse has been well looked after. | |||||||||
