Italy 17th century, width 39.5cm height 28.5cm Preparatory drawing for an engraving. On paper with pen,brown ink and wash. A centered tree brings the viewer to the activities of a farm yard. Misty forests on the right. To the left a veiled castle completes the composition. The lower left hand corner stamped with a collector's seal: Vallardi(1784-1863). Framed.
