A very well decorated two handled urn or vase with everted rim with a black background showing figures in classical garb around the main portion of the body and with elaborate continuous ornamentation, mostly in orange on the outer edges and handles. No makers mark or mark for the country of origin, but likely to be English (possibly by Samuel Alcock & Company). It might be French. In either case based on the style it was made around 1850...

Dinner plate in Sevres pattern but probably Minton c. 1850

A soft paste porcelain dinner plate unmarked, but probably Minton. In the “feuille de choux” pattern with hand painted flowers, blue accents and heavy gilding. These knock offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid 19th century (c.1850) onwards and Minton made many of the very good ones. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

The vases, English from circa 1850, sit on a rococo style attached base with light blue and gilt molded leaves for the base of a fluted and molded vase with a flaring and serrated top rim. The molded flowers are painted in bright enamels. The porcelain is bright white. Both have a sticky label on the underside for the Hackman Collection with the Number,”80” presumably an inventory number. They are 6 inches tall and 4 inches at the widest.

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...

A pair of “King’s pattern” heavy porcelain dinner plates with underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt decoration. This pattern was an Imari pattern that acquired the “King” name. Both are marked with impressed, “DERBY” under a crown. Both also have red interlaced Ds below a crown. One has the number, “563” below the Ds and the other has a printed mark for the retailer, “John Morlock” of London. These plates are from between 1877 and 1890...

A set of eight hand painted porcelain plates with scenic views as listed below. The lips with a peach ground and some gilding. Located in the center of each plate is the hand painted scene. The pattern number “833” and the location, painted in script in red enamel, is on the back of most of them. They were made and decorated in Britain, possibly Aynsley, circa 1880. 8 7/8 inches (20.3 cm) diameter.

A hand painted porcelain plate with a dark blue ground on the lip with elaborate gilding that extends to the sides of the well. A view of Loch Leven from the shore painted in the center. No marks on the back except “Loch Leven” in dark red enamel script. 8 5/8 inches (22 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Some minor scratches and the haziness of the painting could be caused by stacking wear.

A pair of CJ Mason porcelain plates circa 1825 A pair of distinctively molded bone china porcelain plates from the Mason factory circa 1825. Each is hand painted with a bouquet of flowers and the molded pattern enhanced with copper tinged gilding. They have no maker’s mark, but this molded porcelain is associated with the factory. Pattern mark 963 on the back of both, though the “9” is hardly there on one of the plates...

Three plates with a blind molded basket weave border and swirled ribs the way Coalport molded plates in the early part of the 19th century. The hand painted flowers in a central bouquet and four single flowers on the lip are very much in the early Coalport style. The plates are 9 ¼ inches (23.5 cm) in diameter.

Conditon: no chips cracks, hairlines or repairs for two and the third with a spider in the center...

A pair of hand painted English porcelain dessert serving dishes, probably Spode, lozenge shaped with lobes and decorated with floral sprays and sprigs in bright colors with gilt scalloped border and gilt floral design in the apexes. No marks on the base, but this form with the elegant gilding in the apexes is ascribed to Spode and from early in the 19th century. Length 10 ¼, width 7 ¼ and height 2 inches.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Almost no wear.

Neither is marked, but the distinctive border of twined dolphins alternating with a large plant (?) is a Spode design. The flowers circle both the lid and the body, which has molded ring handles (not working) at the end of the long sides. The knop on the lid is elaborately gilt. An elaborately molded plate with three hand painted sprigs of flowers. The pattern is one that was made by CJ Mason circa 1825 in the rococo revival taste. 8 ½ inches diameter.

Condition: Minor gilding wear and a few knife scratches, but otherwise no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.

A pair of elaborate porcelain vases with large leaves in turquoise and gilt opening from a narrow base which rests on four wide feet. The base and feet encrusted with vegetation and occasional flowers which also support a large rising stem on either side with roses on one side and blue, orange garden flowers and possibly small lilies on the other side. A porcelain plate with a gilt edge, embossed border, the molded edge of the well decorated with elaborate gilding centering on a hand painted botanical specimen of a Feverfew; a member of the daisy family. The plant name is written in script in red enamel and the number “857” in gilt are written on the back. The combination of the embossed border, the botanical sample and the heavy porcelain all indicate that the plate was made and decorated at Spode. 8 7/8 inches diameter.
