A pair of porcelain plates with a maroon and gilt border and complex bouquet of flowers in the center. Hand painted. On the back in a printed scroll, "ED. HONORE" and address, Boulevard Poissoniere Number 6. The mark is the same as the mark on the china that the company provided for the White House in 1846/47 to President Polk. 8 and 3/4 inches (22 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Some rubbing to the gilding of the raised gilt flowers on the border and a little stack rubbing to the glaze in the center. The flowers are bright and nicely painted.
High quality china from the mid 19th century.
