Doccia Coffee pot

Late 18th or early 19th century tall porcelain pear shaped coffee pot with a flat lid topped with a pointed knop. The form is typical of Doccia of this period though the hexagonal spout is unusual. On the underside is the incised letter, "P." Otherwise unmarked. Decorated in light purple accents with a bouquet of flowers on either side and random sprigs of flowers. 10 inches (25.5cm) tall, approx. 7 inches (18cm) from spout to handle.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. There are small losses in spots to the overglaze enamel, but the uneven application of the enamels gives it a sort of unfinished look with more losses than is true. The top of the knop has lost the enamel, but is not chipped.
