A nicely hand painted in undergaze blue saucer dish centered on a crab with four different fish swimming around it through bubbles bordered by plants under arches and more plants and flowers around the outer ruffled rim. The underside has more blue flowers and plants with double circles and a symbol inside the foot rim. The arches of the top of the plate are echoed in the inscribed arches on the back. This type of decoration with it on both the front and back is common on early 18th century Chinese porcelain. 5 ¼ inches (13.5 cm) diameter.
Condition: No cracks or repairs. One almost invisible hairline crack runs from the rim into the curved section.
Good color and interesting decoration.
