A masterpiece of the Qianlong period (1736-95)The bronze body absolutely delightful casted and additionally incised down to the smallest detail. The beast cast seated with monster mask feet, modelled with a fierce expression portrayed by bulging eyes and bared teeth, with long curled mane and horns. This censer is noticeable by its absolutely very well done, perfect shape of the body. By the particularly warm golden colour of the alloy, and by the additional decor ( with some calligraphy ) to the inside of the piece. The surface of the piece nearly appears like gilded.
