The cups very thinly potted, the rounded sides rising from a straight foot to an everted rim, finely decorated around the exterior with a profusion of multi-coloured 'flower-balls' arranged asymmetrically and scattered throughout, freely floating, all carefully enamelled in soft pastels against a white ground, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a Qianlong ( 1736 - 1795 ) six-character seal mark and of the period. A rare, very decorative, Celadon glazed Alms Bowl, 18th - 19th century with its original wooden stand. Very nice Celadon glaze. The rim of the bowl covered with a dark brown wash, the unglazed footring covered with a pale brown wash.

Condition : The bowl in perfect condition. The old wooden stand broken and re - glued.
Painted in vibrant red and green tones with medallion enclosing figures in a garden.

There is a old paper to the back of the dish in German language which indicates, that this dish was found in North Sumatra ( Aceh area ), and that the dish was purchased at the 10th of October 1973 in Medan, North Sumatra.
