This underglaze blue decorated porcelain dish is probably an imperial marked Ming Xuande Period ( 1426 - 1435 ) dragon dish.
It comes from an old Javanese collection. The dish allegedly was found in the sea near Tuban, east Java.
The dish has no crack and no chip, but
the whole surface of the dish is affected by the sea water. The glaze condition to the front-side of the dish is in an relatively good condition, also the exterior of the underside with the dragon decoration is in an relatively good condition. The glaze to the area within the foot-ring is heavily degraded. The foot-ring is partially also heavily degraded and there is another small area to the underside which is also heavily degraded. ( Please have a look at the last 2 enlargements )
Diameter : 20,8 cm.
Condition : As described.
