The octagonally lobed globular body rising from a recessed base to a short straight rim, painted around the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tones with leafy lotus scroll between lotus lappet and classic scroll bands. Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period ( 1573 – 1620 ) Condition: All in all is this jar in a very nice condition. Excellent, glossy glaze that covers the very nice cobalt blue decoration. The rim with some old, original glaze-fritting, which is absolutely normal for such kind of Wanli jars. There are 2 old hairlines from the rim downwards. No repair and no re-paint. H : 19,5cm. Diameter : 21,2 cm.
