A well potted porcelain bowl, covered with a creamy white, crackled glaze and an overglaze enameled decoration with lion and phoenix in red, green and black. Ming Dynasty 17th. century Swatow ware. Remarkable on this bowl is the fact that the rim of the bowl seems to be unglazed, and the base is fully covered with glaze. Such was common during the Song Dynasty, but is quite uncommon for the Ming Dynasty. Diameter: 10,8 cm. H : 4,6 cm. Condition: one short hairline to the rim. The overglaze enamel decoration partly seems to be a little bit re-painted ( probably many years ago ).
