| This piece shows a well known motiv of a Han dynasty story-teller with a drum. The piece is old ( excavated ), but I am confident, that it is not from the Han Dynasty, because I never have seen a glaze like this among Han items. It could be anything - the clay ( stoneware ) is a littlebit like Song, but it also could be a Qing dynasty piece with a Han motive. Unfortunately I am not so familiar with pieces like this - like we all I do know the motive from Han dynasty pieces, but thats all - I am unable to do a better description of this unusual but very nice piece. We at the Chinese ceramics sector never stop learning, and so I would be gratefull if there is anybody, who might be able, to bring me a littlebit further with this piece. The piece is broken at the base, so that it is possible, to look inside the piece, there is a minute fritting on the head ( please look enlargement ) and the drum racqet is lost, but with all his details it is still a amazing piece.
