| 1930s Japanese scroll painted with colors on paper. The scroll depicts a horse feeding from a barrel by a building, while its groom smokes resting on another barrel, all below a sun half-hidden by a cloud. Did not photograph well. Wonderful quality realistic painting, great brushwork. Excellent composition in Japanese taste, in great condition (one crease seen on Enlargement 2), bamboo and wood scroll ends. Signed in ink HIROSHI, and marked with red paste seal (see detail). Scroll size 73 by 13 inches, painting size 51.5 by 11.5 inches. | ||
