| Ivory netsuke of a crouching tiger with its head turned back. Extremely well carved, superb face with its teeth showing, horn inlaid eyes, great quality etching of its stripes. Excellent clean carving with powerful paws, beautiful flow to its tail, expert light staining. Signed MASATOMO on the bottom - the signature is that used by Yukimasa (born in 1914) - for a good discussion of this excellent artist see CONTEMPORARY NETSUKE by Miriam Kinsey, p. 233.
