| 1900-1910s (late Meiji - early Taisho) Japanese temple boxwood seal of square section. Superb quality crisp carving of 16 characters in regular script, red seal paste in the grooves of the seal. Metal stud on the side indicates the position of the top of the imprint. Inscribed in ink on top and one side. Beautiful patina on the surface of wood. Height 2 3/8 inches, base 11/16 inches square. | ||
