| Very delightful 1920s Banko ware vase with enameled decoration of a toy tiger with nodding head and paper strips hanging off bamboo branch. Most probably the decoration represents some festival connected with children. Excellent quality painting with precise detailing, great design in Japanese taste. The inside of the vase is covered with transparent gray glaze. Typical Banko clay body, stamped with BANKO seal on the bottom, overall in excellent condition. Height 4 1/8 inches. The piece comes from a small East Coast collection. | ||
