| Small 19th century Indian bronze spoon used for offering water during Hindu puja ceremony. Does not photograph well. The spoon part is cast as petals of a flower, with 2 stylized birds above, stem is cast with braid pattern, and the end of the spoon represents Garuda (identified by his small wings) protected from above by a hood of Nagas (cobras). Very good casting and detailing, traces of vermillion powder used in puja ceremony, very good patina from being touched during worship, very pleasant feel of age. Length 3 7/8 inches. | ||
