| Early 19th century Japanese kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with multimetal inlays in high relief depicting an eagle in sitting on a gnarled willow branch in a menacing attitude. Superbly made piece with crisp metalwork (see its wings with differentiated feathers and gold spots on a branch), in excellent condition, fantastic detailing. Length 1 5/16 inches (33.5 mm). | ||
