| 20th century small ivory netsuke carved as a squatting monkey with its hands on its knees. Must have been part of a set of Zodiac animals - see the companion horse netsuke in my catalog. Perfectly captured attitude, very well carved out of beautiful even ivory, great level of detail, wonderful staining and patina. Signed ISSAKU on the back. Height 15/16 inches. | ||
