| A smart tea ceremony Kouaka natsume or container for powdered thin tea, dating to the mid 20thC or earlier. This natsume is of the low squat type with a square shoulder top. A deep red lacquered lid contrasts with the black base. The body and lid are turned wood coated in urushi or lacquer. Overall condition is excellent for age. Dimensions: 3" x 1 3/4". An excellent addition to any serious collection of teaware or for use by the tea practitioner. | ||
